Before I get started on the application, I would just like to say that I take these applications pretty seriously so please bear with me as I try to make this as least convoluted as possible. Thanks!

Personal Information
Age (or, if you prefer, are you over the age of 18?): 19.
Gender: Male.
Location and Timezone: Currently Hawaii (GMT-10), but will mostly be on the East Coast (GMT-4/5).
Real Life profession (if any): I'm an undergrad student that also works for the school doing security/patrol.

Character Information
Character Name and server: Unskilled of Terenas.
Class/Spec: Fury warrior with a prot offspec. I hardly ever tank though; I rolled this particular class to see some damage output.
Armory Link (Please be sure you log out in PvE gear continually during your application process): http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... =Unskilled (and yes, I do realize that my gear is not perfect; I'm over hit cap a little bit, under expertise cap, and only at 81% arpen--but I've done what I can with only being a pugger since I started playing this guy)
Professions and why you chose them: Engineering and Enchanting. I took Engineering because it's an overall enjoyable profession that offers many competitive perks, such as on-use glove enchants as well as the 'oh shit' rocket boots. I took enchanting because it's one of the top raiding professions in terms of raw stat gain, and being able to disenchant things is always a plus.
Alts you currently play (Name, Class, Realm): I don't currently give my alts any love, but my previous main Wubba on Frostwolf (a priest) might be worth looking at. I spent almost all of WotLK playing her. I also have a terribad ele shaman named Wubsy from Frostwolf (I pretty much hit 80 and neglected the poor thing).

Additional Questions

1) Have you read and do you agree with the Escape Mission Statement? Do you have any comments about it?
Yes, I have read and agree to the Escape Mission Statement. I support the standards you guys uphold as a guild and I'm happy that you all take this raiding business seriously.

2) We raid Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday 7-11 Server time(MST). Are you available for the full duration of each raid night on a regular basis? Please tell us about exceptions.
There's an issue that I will cover later, but for the long run I should be able to make all three raid nights. Exceptions may include: exams, being called in to work, or emergencies. The one that I'm worried about most is the exams, but I'm sure plenty of your raiders will have the same obstacle to deal with.

3) Do you know any members of Escape?
No. I transferred here to play with my old friend Subnoize (from Midnight). And, seeing as how dead this server is compared to my last, I find it necessary for me to find a new guild/loving home.

4)What is your most recent guild and why are you leaving? What other guilds have you raided with in the past? Please list the content you experienced with those guilds and explain your reasons for leaving them.
I'm just going to start from the very beginning and work towards the current.

In vanilla I started probably around 6 months before BC hit. I played a rogue and lead my guild <More Cowbell> through ZG (which, at the time, seemed like an insurmountable feat). I also did a little MC and BWL but I didn't really know what I was doing. Then BC hit. This is about the time where I started to play a lot, probably more than a healthy person should. I rerolled a mage and joined a guild that, while it wasn't the best, offered me an opportunity to become a much better player. I learned everything I could about mages and eventually ended up transferring when the guild slowed to a halt (I was young and purple-hungry; I should've been more loyal to my guild... but that's besides the point). This new guild was #1 on the server and with it (and my buddy Subnoize), I raided through SSC/TK to Muru in Sunwell. Around that time I quit and only started up again a little before Wrath came out. I rolled a priest and applied to a guild named <Ebayed Raiders> on Frostwolf around level 40 or so. They took a chance with accepting me but trusted in my experience gained from Sunwell/BT. That priest--Wubba--I played with until around mid-Ulduar, when I felt like I shouldn't be playing anymore. I had just gotten into a pretty serious relationship and was moving and I didn't feel like I could keep up with the #1 guild on the server. So I was demoted to friend rank and never really raided with them again. I tried once but I was struggling with a course my freshman year (Physics.. FFFFUUUUUUU) and priests no longer had any appeal to me, so of course I failed that attempt. Since then, I've switched mains to my warrior and have been giving him plenty of love, but have only had pugs to join to obtain all of my gear.

5) What is your current progression in ICC, 10 and 25?
I have done 11/12 in 10m and 25m. I've done heroic 10m versions of Marrowgar, Deathwhisper, and Gunship. In 25m hm I've done Fester/Rot.

6) We require our members to have a boss mod with chat bubbles enabled. What boss mod and other add-ons do you use?
DBM, GS Lite, and Power Auras Classic combined with Mono UI. It generally looks like: http://i25.tinypic.com/nps0hv.png

7) Do you have Ventrillo installed on your computer? Do you currently own a working microphone?
Yes and yes. I'm more of a listener than a talker, however.

8) What resources/websites do you use to prepare for new bosses? What resources/websites do you use to continue learning about your class?
TankSpot, Wowhead, Bosskillers, ElitistJerks & the Rawr spreadsheet. I also like to test stuff out on my own to see how certain tradeoffs work out.

9) Please post a link to the logs of a recent raid if you have one. If you are transferring servers, this is required. Our members can tell you how to set it up if it would help.
I do not have any logs... but I do have a screenshot of some decent dps: http://i28.tinypic.com/18md81.png. This was Marrowgar 25m normal mode, pugged.

10) All raiders are required to provide appropriate consumables to maximize their role including flasks, elixirs, potions, reagents, food, and glyphs as needed. Though repairs are paid for mains, Try-outs and Candidates pay their own repairs. Are you willing and able to provide your toon with these required items?
Yes. I haven't raided seriously in a while but I absolutely know what's required of a raider.

11) We maintain a rotating Sit Out list used as required. Please review the Sit-Out Policy. Would you have any issues in abiding by it?
No, no issues at all. Sometimes people have to sit to accomplish more as a guild.

12) Why do you want to join Escape? How were you referred to our guild?
I want to join because I've been looking for a guild that can raid without having it consume peoples' lives but still down bosses competitively. I wanted a guild well acquainted with 25m hardmodes that won't ask me to raid 4+ days a week. I, in all honesty, want to finish off WotLK strong; hopefully downing hm LK, completing my Shadowmourne, and getting a frostwyrm (those three being wishful thinking). But beyond that I also want a group of fun/skilled people to play with in the coming expansion!

I was referred to your guild via Terenas server forums.

13) Is there anything else you want us to know?
Well, first off, I would just like to state that I probably shouldn't start my application process just yet. While I would be able to make maybe a couple raids, I would definitely not be able to have 100% at this time. The reason for this is because I'm currently on summer break which happens to be the only time I get to see my lady... which means that I'm limited on wow time. She's lenient, but not 12 hours a week lenient. So, in all honestly, if I'm considered to join then the process should probably be put off until around the second week of August, when I go back to school. Plus, my internet over there is much faster/consistent, anyway.

Besides that, I would just like to say that I have been a very strong raider in the past, even if it might not show on this toon. I just recently (a couple months maybe) switched to this guy because priest just didn't feel like the class for me, so I have only been able to accomplish little in such time (which means a lack of achievement points and other shiny things). In time I hope to look like the caliber of raider that you're probably more accustomed to as a competitive raiding guild.

Also, a final note... if I do end up being considered to join and I do some raids with you, if I find that my grades start dropping in the upcoming school year, I will most likely kindly drop out from the application process. I take raiding very seriously but my grades are one thing I don't find it logical to sacrifice.

Anyway, thanks for the opportunity guys. Hit me up in game (or here, obviously) if you need anything else!

Hi Unskilled.

Thanks for your app.

I don't know you, but I like you already. Good luck! (I'm sure our recruitment officers will have fun with this "I'm applying...but not yet"... lol)

Hi Unskilled,

Thank you for yoru application to Escape. Our recruitment officers will thoroughly review your application and get back to you shortly.

As I posted on your thread in the Terenas forums, given that we only raid 3 nights/week, you're availability or possible lack of availability may affect our decision for a tryout vote.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Unskilled,

Thank you for your interest in Escape. At this time, we're going to pass on your app. However, please feel free to reapply when you're able to commit to our already light raiding schedule.

You put it best is your own application:

"I probably shouldn't start my application process just yet. While I would be able to make maybe a couple raids, I would definitely not be able to have 100% at this time."

We look forward to hearing back from you once your schedule permits you to raid. Best regards.

Hey guys.

Thanks for the consideration. Hopefully I'll be back in a couple weeks. I probably should've just waited on applying in the first place, but I didn't want someone else to fill up the melee spot on the roster...

but anyway. Thanks guys, I'll see you around.
