Additional Questions

1) Have you read and do you agree with the Escape Mission Statement? Do you have any comments about it? Yes, and I very much agree with it. Not something I expected to see from a Raiding guild

2) We raid Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday 7-11 Server time(MST). Are you available for the full duration of each raid night on a regular basis? Please tell us about exceptions. Yes I will be able to make the raid times no problem.

3) Do you know any members of Escape? Yes, I know Jallenrix through her RL husband Vice. I also know Aletar some through Swamprabbit. I also know Phuz somewhat.

4)What is your most recent guild and why are you leaving? What other guilds have you raided with in the past? Please list the content you experienced with those guilds and explain your reasons for leaving them. My most recent guild is Fate, the reason that I am leaving is I am looking to see more of the high end game. Before Fate I was in The Burning Crusaders, they disbanded and never raided much with them. I currently run with a PuG in ICC 25

5) What is your current progression in ICC, 10 and 25? ICC 10 man is 11/12 with Lootship, And Bloodqueen on Heroic. ICC 25 I have done 9/12, I haven’t done Putricide, Sindragosa or LK

6) We require our members to have a boss mod with chat bubbles enabled. What boss mod and other add-ons do you use? DBM is the main one.

7) Do you have Ventrillo installed on your computer? Do you currently own a working microphone? Yes I do to both

8) What resources/websites do you use to prepare for new bosses? What resources/websites do you use to continue learning about your class? Femaledwarf.com mainly, I also read a few hunter forums from time to time. But mainly ask some of the higher end DPS hunters on the server.

9) Please post a link to the logs of a recent raid if you have one. If you are transferring servers, this is required. Our members can tell you how to set it up if it would help. I do not have any logs from a recent raid.

10) All raiders are required to provide appropriate consumables to maximize their role including flasks, elixirs, potions, reagents, food, and glyphs as needed. Though repairs are paid for mains, Try-outs and Candidates pay their own repairs. Are you willing and able to provide your toon with these required items? I am and I do, I run with Thoughts/Agi and ArP food, or if on progression I am using Rage Flasks.

11) We maintain a rotating Sit Out list used as required. Please review the Sit-Out Policy. Would you have any issues in abiding by it? Not at all.

12) Why do you want to join Escape? How were you referred to our guild? Phurball approached me about joining if I was interested. I thought about it for a couple of days and decided to give it a try. I would love to see more of the higher end content and making a contribution to a raiding guild.

13) Is there anything else you want us to know? I look forward to meeting everyone if I am allowed to try out. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Hey Salena, thank you for taking the time to app. We'll review your application and get back to you regarding a tryout soon.

One note:

10) All raiders are required to provide appropriate consumables to maximize their role including flasks, elixirs, potions, reagents, food, and glyphs as needed. Though repairs are paid for mains, Try-outs and Candidates pay their own repairs. Are you willing and able to provide your toon with these required items? Regarding that last bolded entry. We require that our members are flasks for the entire duration of the four hours during the week. As a three day a week progression raiding guild we need to clear content as quickly as possible in order to maximize time for progression encounters. The simplest way to "min max" is to flask.

Hi Salena.

Thanks for your interest. We won't hold it against you that it was Phuzzy who brought you here.

I'm really curious about something. Would I be correct that you use your wolf, Scraps, for raiding? If so, would you mind going to our favorite spreadsheet and plugging in "enable common pet spec" for him? Dude, your pet spec is odd! You'll see +200 dps with Rabid and Wild Hunt. I do see that you've chosen to be able to brez him instead, since a dead pet is worthless, and I suspect that may be necessary in your pugs, but fortunately, our healers are simply leet, and they don't forget about our pets. :)

Also, since elixirs yield a little better dps, I get it that you choose them over flasks on farm content. But why Ag as MM rather than ArPen elixir?

And it looks like you're choosing to rely on being in a group with a Draenai to reach hit cap? Dangerous, that.

Why Ag on your 2h rather than Mass?

Last, have you given any thought to switching to more hunter friendly profs?

Again, thanks for your interest in Escape.

Hi Salena,

We'd like to try and get you in for a tryout this week. Invites go out at ~6:45 ST on Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday. Please read up on Ruby Sanctum and all the heroic ICC fights. Make sure to address some of the concerns Mythdia brought up, we want to see competitive DPS and high survivability. You can also whisper Mythdia or Galkuran, our two resident hunters, if you have questions about DPS assignments. Good luck, hope to see you tonight.

I don't heal pets.

:)

Hello everyone and thanks for the questions and the input.

Great I will be there, thank you for the opportunity to join you folks tonigt. I appreciate it.

As far as ‘Scraps’ the wolf pet. WoW Armory is messed up I believe. I do get the wild hunt buff, so that build on the site has to be incorrect. For some reason armory has been messed up on my pets since I had two pets with the same name, Scraps. One of the ‘Scraps’ was wearing armor and the other one wasn’t. Ever since then it has been reporting an incorrect build on the pet. I will look at it when I get home and if it is anything but the ‘recommended build on femaledwarf’, I will change it ASAP. That build on Armory is just insane and I would be suffering from a short between the keyboard and my chair if I didn’t change it.

As far as the Elixir’s I have just always done Agi, I will make a stack of ArP for the raid. I have just recently gone to an ArP setup, so a few things I have overlooked or didn’t correct yet. But I am working on them when someone points them out.

In regard to the Hit cap, I am indeed 8 points below it from what I understand. Cap is 8% which is 263, I am at 255 giving me a 7.78% hit raiting. I almost always run with a Draenai, running the late night raids for Fate, I always had at least 2 or 3 in the raid at all times. PuG’s I wasn’t as concerned about due amount of players in 25 mans, there had to be a least a couple there as well. Doing the numbers from what I understand given my hit raiting, I would be missing at maximum 2.2 shots out of 1,000 rounds fired.

As for the Agility on the 2h weapon, I ran the numbers on it you can increase the dps by 12 going to Massacre instead of Agility according to Femaledwarf. But with the straight AP you don’t get the crit from it as you would with the agility buff. In my personal opinion it is about even, but I would be willing to change it.

I have thought about changing my professions, just haven’t taken the time to make the leap yet. I did level an Alt druid specifically to collect flowers for me. I do like the benefit of having flasks and elixirs lasting twice as long because of Alchemy though. But it is something that I am looking into and figuring how many zillion gold it will cost to switch and max out to be able to benefit more on my dps.

Thank you once again, and I will see you folks tonight.

I don't think anyone is expecting you to drop Alchemy for another profession, it's just the Herbalism that doesn't contribute.

But Torovan it does, that heal you get from it is UBER. It could heal me 1/10 of a smack from a boss or something. j/k I was just cheap and farmed my own flowers since Vanilla. I need to update and change it. :D

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to thank everyone for letting me attend the 25 man raid last night. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and look forward to attending again if you will have me.

I realize my performance wasn’t stellar. I was a bit nervous and didn’t want to make a mistake that would wipe the raid. I did make a couple mistakes one major one, when I forgot to stop moving during the Prince fight and killed myself due to the dot. It was the first time I have ever done any of the Heroics in there outside of Lootship and Blood Queen. I was thoroughly impressed on how quick everything moved and there was no wasting time on loot or anything. It has been a long time since I raided like that, been at least 6 years beckoning back to my EQ raiding days.

I hope I didn’t make too much of a fool of myself and I just wanted say how much of an honor it was to raid with folks that know exactly what they are doing and just do it.

I hope to see you folks again soon

Thank you again one and all,

Salena

Hello again folks,
I just wanted to let everyone know, that I have taken advice to heart and am I in the process of changing one of my professions. I changed my druid so she can farm pretty flowers, so as soon as I can get her up to farm the Northrend plants I will switch Salena over to Jewel Crafting. Should be fully in the process of working Salena’s skill up and close to where I need it by next Tuesday.

Just thought I let you folks know.

TTFN
