Personal Information
Age (or, if you prefer, are you over the age of 18?): 25

Gender: Male

Location and Timezone: Louisiana (could guess by the name) CST

Real Life profession (if any): Student/ Front Desk Clerk

Character Information
Character Name and server: Jambalaya Terenas

Class/Spec: Druid/Boomkin

Armory Link (Please be sure you log out in PvE gear continually during your application process): http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... =Jambalaya

Professions and why you chose them: Tailoring/Enchanting: I chose Tailoring because it has the highest dps buff for caster classes and I chose Enchanting because it was close in the dps race that was most compatible with Tailoring.

Alts you currently play (Name, Class, Realm): Eunicr, Rouge/Etoufee, Mage...both on Terenas

Additional Questions

1) Have you read and do you agree with the Escape Mission Statement? Do you have any comments about it?

I have read the mission statement and totally agree with the maturity portion and the rest, as well. I believe that the even if you have lesser gear, you do need to understand your class and stat priorities.

2) We raid Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday 7-11 Server time(MST). Are you available for the full duration of each raid night on a regular basis? Please tell us about exceptions.

There might be occasions where on Sundays I will not be able to raid due to work. At most, it will be once every 3 months.

3) Do you know any members of Escape?

I know Cutiepine/Bloodybuns/Cutebuns, Jeroboam/Taloc, and Cymraes/Caerwyn from my time in Elysium under the toon named Eunicr, and getting to know Grackhus from the general discussions I have with him about my class.

4)What is your most recent guild and why are you leaving? What other guilds have you raided with in the past? Please list the content you experienced with those guilds and explain your reasons for leaving them.

Currently, I'm in Defiance of Existence. I'm leaving due to my work schedule changing since they are a day time raiding guild. I have been in Syndicate as well which disbanded. Prior to that, I left the game. Before I left the game, I was in Elysium and left due to confusion with raiding policies when patch 3.3 came out.

5) What is your current progression in ICC, 10 and 25?

In ICC10, I am 10/12 but know Sindragosa well and in ICC25, I am 6/12. I know this is low, but my current guild can not seem to get the Rotface mechanics down.

6) We require our members to have a boss mod with chat bubbles enabled. What boss mod and other add-ons do you use?

Currently, I use DBM, Recount, Dominoes, Buffalo3, AVR, Elistist Group, Grid, MSKT, Omen, Quartz:Eclipse, and Shadowed Unit Frames.

7) Do you have Ventrillo installed on your computer? Do you currently own a working microphone?

I use Ventrilo but do not currently have a mic.

8) What resources/websites do you use to prepare for new bosses? What resources/websites do you use to continue learning about your class?

I use Grey Matter, Tankspot, and ElitistJerks.

9) Please post a link to the logs of a recent raid if you have one. If you are transferring servers, this is required. Our members can tell you how to set it up if it would help.

10) All raiders are required to provide appropriate consumables to maximize their role including flasks, elixirs, potions, reagents, food, and glyphs as needed. Though repairs are paid for mains, Try-outs and Candidates pay their own repairs. Are you willing and able to provide your toon with these required items?

I keep everything with the exception of food, which I'm currently leveling to make use of fish feasts.

11) We maintain a rotating Sit Out list used as required. Please review the Sit-Out Policy. Would you have any issues in abiding by it?

I do not have any issues with the Sit Out policy. There are a few questions I have regarding it, though.

12) Why do you want to join Escape? How were you referred to our guild?

I was referred to your guild by a toon named Elusivity while I was playing my rogue. Since then, I have had an interest in your guild because it is extremely democratic and seems to be run by its raiders.

13) Is there anything else you want us to know?

I have talked to Grackus concerning my gear and I know that my trinkets are not up to par, but I have Sliver of Pure Ice and Nevermelting Crystal in my bags, but I think if I equip those items, I would fall from the crit cap. My haste is currently above the Wrath soft cap and I am just below the soft crit cap without Moonkin Aura. With Moonkin aura, I am above both the haste and crit cap. I have a few haste gems equipped because I was informed that haste and crit take equal footing once above both caps. Ummm, I think that's about all I can think of, but if any questions arise, let me know.

Thanks

I apologize. I forgot I helped in an attempt in RS25 last night. I have logged in my Boomkin set and will continue to do so.

Jambalaya,

Congrats on your tryout. Going along with what Hocken said, you should re-read what it takes to hit the Lunar Crit Cap and reconsider your trinkets and gemming options. (Hint: plug your stats into WrathCalcs and revisit the Lunar crit cap formula) Let me know what you find.

Some other things you'll want to do before Tuesdays raid:

1. You'll want to switch to the caster DPS ICC rep ring

2. Read about our loot rules: http://guildescape.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=124

3. And lastly, familiarize yourself with 11/12 ICC25 hard modes and Ruby Sanctum.

Firstly, I wanted to thank you guys for allowing me to come to your raid. Secondly, I reviewed my crit cap, and it was more that I missed that it was after the buffs to calculate the cap and not before. Here is an updated armory, http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... =Jambalaya. Also, I had to change to Maghia's Misguided Quill to fulfill my hit cap. I looked at Rawr and a few other spreadsheets and when I switch rings to Ashen Band of Endless Destruction, I lose dps. I don't know why that is, and any help would be appreciated.

Most likely because it doesn't take the proc into consideration. Other than that I don't know.

Hi Jambalaya,

Thank you for coming out to raid with Escape on Tuesday, we were glad to have you along. At this time, we're going to pass on your application. Best of luck to you in your search for a raiding guild.
